Attorney Profiles

James A. O'Malley, a graduate of the National University of Ireland and New York Law School, has been handling U.S. Immigration matters for over 25 years. Mr. O’Malley is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Mr. O’Malley was honored by Irish America Magazine in 1992 as one of the 100 most important Irish Americans and in 2008 as one of the top 100 Irish American Lawyers. Areas of specialization include: executive and managerial transferees, investment visas, professional and specialty occupation visas, outstanding researcher, extraordinary ability, entertainment visas, permanent residence and issues of dual citizenship.                     

Reza Pourmohammadi, a graduate of Hunter College and New York Law School, has been handling U.S. immigration matters for over a decade.  Reza is admitted to practice in the State of New York. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York County Lawyers Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Areas of specialization include: entrepreneurial investor visas, multi-national executive immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, extraordinary ability visas in the arts, business, athletics and education, as well as labor certification and permanent residence. 

Rachel Baskin, a graduate of Binghamton University (cum laude) and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, is admitted to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey. Ms. Baskin also attended Oxford University as an Associate Student and was a member of the Oxford Union. She served as Articles Editor for the Cardozo Public Law, Policy and Ethics Journal and is the Co-Editor of “Immigration and Nationality Law” (The International Lawyer, Year in Review, VOL. 43, NO. 2: American Bar Association, 2008). Ms. Baskin is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Areas of specialization include:  adjustment of status, consular processing, entertainer and performer visas, H-1B visas and permanent resident applications for corporate clients and individuals.

Lorcan M. Shannon, a graduate of National University of Ireland, Galway, and Duke University School of Law, holds a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) and a Master of Laws (LL.M). He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Areas of specialization include: H-1B visas, entrepreneurial investor visas, trainee and intern visas, extraordinary ability visas in the arts and athletics, consular processing and I-601 waiver of grounds of inadmissibility.

Thomas Coughlan, Of Counsel, a graduate of University College Cork, holds the Degrees of Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.), Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Master of Laws (LL.M) in the area of Immigration Law. Mr. Coughlan is admitted to practice in the State of New York (1998) and the U.S. Supreme Court (2007). He is an Assistant Lecturer in Law at University College Cork, a Tutor in Law for the Law Society of Ireland, and a Director of the Irish Institute of Continuing Professional Development. Areas of specialization include: immigration and human rights law, criminal law and procedure, and civil litigation with a particular emphasis on personal injuries and commercial disputes.
